The pack is thicker on the heavy duty leaf spring so would suggest 1" longer u bolts. Never a bad idea to change u bolts when replacing leaf springs even if going back with the same spring as they stretch over time.
If i go from stock 2 leaf to 3 leaf do I need new u bolts 1980 - 1997 F250 / F350 heavy duty front leaf spring, 4250 lbs capacity
