We always suggest replacing the u bolts. When purchasing heavy duty leaf springs like this one the pack thickness is greater due to more leaves and thicker steel. When order u bolts you'll want to measure the length of your currents u bolts and add an inch to accommodate for the thicker pack.
As far as the other attaching parts such as eye bolts and shackles it really comes down to where you live and if the bolts won't come up due to rust or if the bushings are deteriorated on the shackles.
