Ford used the same code for different years and different springs. This 4(3/1) is the K code replacement for 2001 - 2003. Ford also used the K code for the Ranger from 1993 - 2000 but it was the 3(2/1) in that year range. If you're looking for the 4(3/1) K code then this is it but if you're looking for the 3(2/1) K code that's the lighter Ford Ranger leaf spring we sell. There were a handful of different springs Ford made so easiest is to match up with what you have with leaf count. If you have a 3(2/1) and want something a little stronger then this works. If you have a 4(3/1) this will be a stock replacement. 3(2/1) = 2 leaves arched together and a thick, flat leaf on the bottom. 4(3/1) = 3 leaves arched together and a thick, flat leaf on the bottom.
